In this lecture series, I'll present a practice that I have developed in Jerusalem. It consists of befriending political and/or religious opponents; learning their language in order to eventually have deep critical conversations together. Collectively we'll dive into discussions concerning what classical tools performing artists can take into society and how to do so ethically, the potential of friendships to mitigate generational enmities, and how we can continue to think creatively in counteractive practices.
