Institute for Scene Experiments
The Institute for Scene Experiments is a fictional institution devoted to investigating scenes. For SU, ISE undertakes a two-day film-based workshop. Each day we will collectively select, perform and film a single short scene, in as many possible variations of performance, framing, lighting, etc. For each take, we will change roles in order to share and learn skills and experiment with the film crew as a social form. All materials are then made available and open-source online. Scenes can be from theatre, film, dreams, memory, or new productions. Performers, filmmakers, writers, sound technicians, lighting specialists—anyone with a passionate interest and skills in one or more aspects of the scene are encouraged to participate. More details TBA.
