Humans are Verbs:
Reading Black and Caribbean Authors

8-10 August

Jamaica Kincaid has said humans are verbs—doing, moving—rather than nouns. We are not fixed positions, but relations and activity. Let's do human together. We will read a collection of texts centered on Black and Caribbean authors that ask us to consider how we know and define human and the political implications in expanding an understanding of the origins and future of human doing.
